Empowering Parents, Supporting Our Schools:
- Voted to guarantee parents’ rights to speak at school
board meetings. - Supports parents having the right to choose the best education opportunity for their kids.
- Created the Student Learning Recovery Grant Program to help students who have fallen behind in school.
- Supported repeated record increases in K-12 education funding.
Helping Hoosier Families and Small Businesses:
- Created a restart grant program to help small businesses recover from the pandemic.
- Co-authored the largest tax cut in Indiana history, reducing taxes by $1 billion.
- Voted to return $1.5 billion to Hoosiers via taxpayer refund.
- Will work to protect homeowners from the impact of increased assessed property value due to inflation.
Standing With Law Enforcement :
- Co-authored a bill to “Back the Blue” by increasing funding for law enforcement officers and supporting upgrades and expansions to training facilities.
- Voted for a grant program to ensure that all law enforcement agencies can purchase body cameras.
Serving Our Community
Jerry is a sixth-generation Hoosier and has lived in Carmel for over 30 years. Jerry has been recognized as a Small Business Champion and has twice been named the Government Leader of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. At the Statehouse, Jerry is working to fight D.C. inflation by ensuring Hoosiers keep more of their hard-earned money.
